The Yonex French Open runs from 20 to 25 October 2026 in Paris, the second of the three European Super 750 and Super 500 weeks that close out the World Tour season.
A home tournament that suddenly matters
France has never had a badminton event like the one it will host in 2026. Eight weeks earlier, in Delhi, Alex Lanier won the men’s singles world title as the ninth seed, beating Kodai Naraoka 21-11, 21-11 in a final that never had a close game. Days after that, Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue beat the world number one pair to take the mixed doubles — France’s first two World Championships golds, won in the same week.
All three of them play in Paris in October. A country that had never won a world title arrives at its own tournament holding two.
